Countour Design Works with NewsWatch to Spike Sales

When Contour Design needed to promote their innovative ergonomic keyboards, they turned to NewsWatch to help them. The NewsWatch team then put together a product review segment for Countour. This review was broadcast to approximately 96 million households in over 200 U.S. markets. The online NewsWatch campaign also received 697,924 views.

After working with NewsWatch, sales of Contour’s “Ultimate Workstation” rose tremendously. Bret Hudson, Contour’s Product Marketing Manager, gave credit to the NewsWatch campaign. He reported sales of the ‘Ultimate Workstation’ increased notably after the NewsWatch review. He said Countour was very impressed with the quality of the NewsWatch video. “We really appreciate the overall quality of the video that was produced and we have seen a very positive response in our sales of our workstations from it. Thank you!”

NewsWatch was founded in 1990 and is now a weekly TV show which has won several broadcasting awards. The show follows a news magazine type format with hosts introducing segments on a number of topics including consumer product reviews (both editorial and sponsored), current news segments, and celebrity interviews. The show has a particular focus on tech and app reviews and often features innovative new products and companies.

NewsWatch is usually broadcast during morning news hours on the AMC network, Ion Television affiliates, and a selection of local independent stations. Along with producing a TV show, NewsWatch has a YouTube channel with over 4 million viewers and is also connected to social media through Vimeo, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google+, Tumblr, Instagram, Pinterest and the NewsWatch Blog.
